We stopped chasing scorecards in Slack. Everyone looks at the same board, so a hiring decision takes a day instead of a week.

Before: one spreadsheet, three Slack channels
Mapleway hired eleven designers last year. Every candidate lived in a shared spreadsheet, feedback arrived in whichever Slack channel was open, and the recruiter spent Mondays asking interviewers for their notes.
The team knew their bar. What they lacked was a single place where everyone could see where each person stood.
After: one board per role
Each open role now has its own board. Interviewers score the same four areas on a 1 to 4 scale, and the verdict adds itself up. Debriefs start with the numbers and take fifteen minutes instead of an hour.
What changed first
Scheduling. Before Hirabel, booking a panel interview took four or five emails. Now the recruiter drags a slot onto the calendar and it snaps to a time Carmen and the engineering lead are both free.
